Marissa Neel of Republic Salon in Folsom, Calif. wanted to give her natural brunette client a cool, blonde makeover—with an added twist. “Our inspiration was the idea of just a ‘breath’ of lavender,” says Marissa. “With indoor lighting, she has exactly that, and when she goes in direct sunlight, her hair is a perfect, frosty white.” Marissa’s beautiful, vanilla blonde is warmer than a platinum, but still icy enough to give us the chills!
